Already looking forward to Dubai’s ultimate gaming festival this October? Well now there’s even more reason to get excited, as Insomnia Dubai has just revealed some big names coming to town.
YouTube superstars The Sidemen have been revealed as the mystery celebrities coming to the Insomnia Gaming Festival, along with world-famous Minecraft player Seapeekaywho. Better yet, there’s even a chance to play games.
Confirmed for all three days of the gaming fest (Thursday October 17 to Saturday 19), The Sidemen will be taking part in meet and greets, 1v1 video games, main stage appearances, after-party attendance, giving out prizes, and of course, posing for selfies with fans.
The team of gamers and content creators have more than 5.9 million YouTube followers. Known for their funny challenges, sketches and video-game commentaries on YouTube, they usually get well over ten million views on each of their videos.
We’re still not sure who from The Sidemen will be attending, so stay tuned for the reveal.
That’s not all, as Minecraft and YouTube star Seapeekaywho will also be at Insomnia Dubai, meeting and greeting fans, while taking part in plenty of fan-favourite activities and 1v1 challenges throughout the Insomnia weekend.
He’s the world record holder for ‘Fastest Time for Building a House in Minecraft’, and has gained over 500,000 followers due to his hilarious gameplay videos.
Along with the celebrity reveals, the gaming festival also announced new exclusive VIP tickets, and from the looks of it, they get you quite a lot.
The ‘Warrior VVIP’ and ‘Beast VIP’ which give guests the opportunity to play head-to-head with The Sidemen on the new FIFA20 game, and against Seapeekay on Minecraft. There are only 18 to 20 tickets available per day leading up to the event, with prices starting at Dhs1,000.
For gamers over the age of 21, there’s also the ‘party with The Sidemen’ VIP tickets at the Insomnia Afterparty. Taking place on the Friday at Soho Gardens from 9pm onwards, The Sidemen will be partying with you from 10pm till midnight. Priced from Dhs750, tickets will also get guests two free drinks.
Tickets are now available online on Virgin and Platinumlist, with prices for the festival starting at Dhs131.25.
