Why you need to check out Skydive Dubai

Wherever you’re based in the UAE, this is a bucket list experience

The view of the Dubai skyline is usually pretty nifty from your apartment balcony, so how about seeing the city from a little bit higher for all out thrills?

For those with a generous helping of adventure (and bravery), it’s time to take a deep breath and take the plunge – right out the side of a small plane.

Skydive Dubai offers all the thrills of freefall at a lightning-quick 120mph. Tandem skydives, with an experienced instructor, are held at the firm’s campus that overlooks the desert dunes. Meanwhile, at its premium spot at the drop zone in Dubai Marina, you can fly high over Palm Jumeirah, for optimum views.

For those who take a more relaxed view of proceedings, you can glide at your leisure from a comfortable perch inside the SkyDive gyrocopter. The scenic tour of the emirate soars over the iconic Palm Jumeirah and the world-famous Jumeirah Burj Al Arab hotel.

Although it’s not the cheapest activity out there (but you wouldn’t expect it to be) for ultimate wow-factor it’s a must-try. Unless you hate heights. Or flying. Or falling.

Fancy a family outing? Now you can bring the whole gang, as Skydive Dubai has introduced tandem skydives to kids from the age of 12 – something that will no doubt delight young adventurers, and potentially make parents nervous. Before skydivers had to be over 18, but young daredevils can now tick it off their bucket list.

Strong stomach and a head for heights? This one’s for you.
