The latest addition set to rock the stage at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards in Abu Dhabi is British YouTube sensation and singer-songwriter Conor Maynard.
The long-running show, which is being held at ADNEC, is taking place in the Middle East for the first time ever having previously been held in Los Angeles, Berlin, London and Mexico City.
And whilst Maynard is thrilled to be part of the show, the 26-year-old Contrast hitmaker is intent on avoiding the green slime that is synonymous with the show.
“I am so excited to be performing at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Abu Dhabi, it’s always such a fun show! Here’s hoping I’m not going to get slimed!” said Maynard.
This latest announcement comes hot on the heels of the news that American singer Jason Derulo – whose hits include Swalla and Mamacita – will be making a return to the UAE to not only perform at the event, but to co-host alongside Palestinian YouTuber Haifa Beseisso.
Maynard is in good company with a sterling line-up of performers that includes Saudi Arabian singer and social media star Dyler, Egyptian singer Mohamed Hamaki and Moroccan band Fnaire.
