Bait 3D

Sharks in a supermarket. In 3D …

Known for helping out as second unit director on big-budget flicks such as The Matrix Reloaded, I, Robot and Killer Elite, Australian filmmaker Kimble Rendall had one question when producer Chris Brown asked if he would direct Bait 3D. ‘I said, “What’s it about?” He said, “Sharks in a supermarket.” Perfect!’ says the director.

That four-word synopsis is all you need to know. Ex-couple Josh and Tina meet by accident at the beachside supermarket where Josh works. A freak tsunami floods the store, leaving them trapped inside with a couple of hungry man eaters – which makes them Bait. And as if Piranha 3D and Shark Night 3D hadn’t gouged the format enough, it’s in tooth-tastic 3D.
