Three things to do in Abu Dhabi this Tuesday

A bargain three-course meal, and art exhibition and live rugby

You know where to come for all the info on things to do in Abu Dhabi. It’s us by the way.

Thinking of doing something today? Here are three great options for you.

Enjoy three courses and a drink for Dhs99

Jones the Grocer has launched a three-course evening meal, including a starter, main, dessert and a house beverage or chilled soft drink, for Dhs99 per person. Available in all Jones the Grocer stores across the UAE, the choice of starters includes spiced lentil soup, potato harissa soup or roasted caramelised nuts and olives. Meanwhile, the mains feature tasty options such as bao buns filled with slow-roasted pulled beef, chargrilled chicken burgers with chimichurri and aioli, prawn and chilli linguine, truffle mushroom risotto and pan-seared seabass on a bed of spiced soba noodles. The dessert options change every day, as diners can simply wonder over to the fresh pastry counter and choose whatever they fancy. Each meal also comes with a house beverage, soft drink or fresh fruity smoothie.
Dhs99. Daily 6pm onwards. Various locations, including Al Muneera (02 558 9808).

See a brand new art exhibition

This week, NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery will open a brand new solo exhibition running until October 7, Thymesis will showcase the work of NYUAD Lecturer of Visual Arts and artist Laura Schneider. The autobiographical exhibition will focus on Hyperthemesia, a medical condition where an individual remembers every single detail of their life. Showcasing 25 works, the exhibition features a range of mixed-media drawings and sculptures, projections and an ongoing project called Earliest Memory Archive, which will be presented in the form of a phone booth. Over the past five years Schneider has recorded anonymous audio clips from people across the world sharing their first memory and guests can listen to them inside the phone booth. It all sounds interesting to us and now we’re trying to recall our earliest memory.
Free. September 24 5.30pm-8pm, September 25 to October 7, noon-8pm. NYUAD Arts Center, Saadiyat Island, www.nyuad-artgallery.org.
