Walking into the lobby of FIVE Palm Jumeirah Dubai, it’d be easy to mistake the hotel for a high-end art gallery. Interiors are bedecked in a beautiful golden geometric structure, while to get to the other side of the building guests must walk through a forest of interwoven wood.
The centrepiece is an enormous glass arch structure, with two wings jutting out from the sides containing the hotel’s suites, each with its own balcony. And the rooms continue the serene theme, with minimalist interiors using a gentle gold colour scheme and luxurious furnishings.
Even more striking is the vast pool that extends out from the main lobby area all the way to the beach. With an upbeat vibe and plenty of sun loungers, it’s an ideal place to while away an afternoon.
The hotel also features a 24-hour gym, while its spa includes a rooftop pool and hydrotherapy jets.
The sea and beach provide a breathtaking backdrop, but if you’d prefer to see more of the wider city then head up to The Penthouse, Time Out Dubai’s Bar of the Year 2019. This rooftop space offers spectacular views of the Marina’s skyscrapers, and it also has a top ladies’ night on a Tuesday.
