Mandarin Oriental Jumiera

Upmarket global brand comes to Dubai with a stunning beachfront property

Set just along from Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and Bulgari Resort Dubai in Jumeirah is the new Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, making the area highly popular with high-end travellers.

The hotel opened at the beginning of 2019 and has a prime beachside location. The lobby is exquisite – chic and elegant, with metal trees and heaps of natural light. The 178 spacious rooms and 78 suites are designed by interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes and overlook either the city or the beach.

If you’re looking to dine there’s plenty of choice. First up is Tasca, the first international venture from renowned Portuguese chef José Avillez, whose Lisbon eatery Belcanto currently holds two Michelin stars. It boasts superb views out to sea, too. Meanwhile just off the lobby is Japanese warayaki-style steakhouse Netsu, from Bone Daddies chef Ross Shonan. Meat and fish here is cooked on a traditional straw fire for a unique dining experience.

There’s also all-day dining spot The Bay, a pool restaurant and even a dedicated caviar bar called Beluga, if you’re looking for super-fancy dining.
Other features of the hotel include the Mandarin Oriental Spa, spread over 2,000 sq m and features a dedicated hammam-style suite, two couples’ suites, heat and water experiences and nine treatment rooms. There’s also a kids’ club, so it’s a holiday for all the family.
For a swish, peaceful retreat, this newcomer ticks all the boxes.
