The Kilomarathon running event is set to return to Abu Dhabi in November

Are you up for this?

There are a lot of fitness challenges going on at the moment in Abu Dhabi, including Tough Mudder, triathlons, marathons and many more in-between.

Up for breaking a sweat and challenging yourself? Well you’re in luck.

The Kilomarathon will return to Abu Dhabi on Friday November 1 challenging runners to take on the top distance of 26.2km.

Held at The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa, the event is open to people of all ages and abilities with a 13.2km Half Kilo event and a one-lap event taking on a distance of 4.4km.

The night run begins at 7.30pm and a range of food and beverage stalls will be on offer for some post-run refreshments.

Plus with the event raising funds for Al Jahila Foundation, which provides medical care for children in the UAE, it’s also all for a good cause.

Matthias Widor, general manager of The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa said, “We are delighted to host the 7th edition of our Kilomarathon. This event truly highlights the Move Well philosophy that comes hand in hand with the Westin Brand Mission of rising up and taking charge of your wellbeing.

“We feel specially honoured to give back to the community by donating all proceeds to Marriott’s ‘Road To Awareness’ campaign that supports Al Jalila Foundation.”

Got kids who want to have some fun and be active?

A special Halloween Kids Run will also be held at the venue on October 31 for children from four to 12 where they can take on a 1km run and win prizes for the most creative costumes.

Spooky!
