We’ve got a weekend of sporting fun ahead of us in Abu Dhabi.
After the Formula One last year and the GP 2 championship earlier this month, the Yas Marina Circuit will now play host to one of Australia’s most popular sport – the V8 Supercars Australia Championship Series.
The V8 Supercar championship, which is a touring car racing based in Australia and also run in New Zealand and Bahrain, makes its debut in Abu Dhabi and for the first time will be run under lights.
Australia’s top 29 drivers (including a few from New Zealand) will be lining up on the starting grid on Friday and Saturday for two rounds of races over 200km and Yas Marina will kick start their 2010 championship.
