Why you need to book a Chef’s Table this month

More than 20 restaurants are offering a dinner like no other this month

Throughout Abu Dhabi Culinary Season there have been some incredible ways to enjoy food in the city.

From the big Taste of Abu Dhabi event to individual nights with chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, if eating is you thing, you’ve been well looked after.

However, one of the final, and we think, best parts of the season is still running. Until December 14, more than 20 restaurants across Abu Dhabi will be hosting one-off events showcasing their chefs for an intimate gathering of people.

The Chef’s Table programme aims to show off the kitchen stars that live and work in the city day in, day out and gives them a chance to show what they can do in front of a small gathering of lucky people.

From the likes of Mahmoud Bayoumi, from Jumeriah at Saadiyat Island Resort, to Nicola Negrini from COYA, there’s a range of venues, cuisines and personalities to enjoy.

The idea is simple, one table in the restaurant will be reserved for a select group of people – booked on a first come, first served basis. Then, over the course of the evening the restaurant’s chef will serve a special menu to the table, serving the dishes personally and giving everyone present an insight into the work that has gone into the meal.

So, whether you’re a steak person (OAK Room at The Abu Dhabi EDITION is hosting a table on December 13 and 14), more of Japanese fan (if so, Tori No Su will be offering the experience on December 12) or have a taste for some Latin flair (Amerigos Mexican Bar & Grill will take part on December 10), there’s something for you.

Prices differ depending on the restaurant and experience on offer, but we do know that these limited-edition evenings that only a few people can take enjoy, so we recommend booking as soon as possible.
