The world’s biggest footballers are coming to Dubai

The Dubai Globe Soccer Awards will bring some of the sport’s top names

The world’s biggest football stars from the men’s and women’s games are coming to Dubai for a star-studded, glittering gala dinner and awards celebration.

It’s the winter break for many of the top leagues in Europe and December is the perfect time of year for Dubai, so it seems perfect timing for the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards, which will be at the Madinat Jumeirah on Sunday December 29.

Some of the names descending on Dubai include Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, who are all finalists in the Best Men’s Player of the Year category.

Jurgen Klopp is among the Coach of the Year candidates, while names in the hat for the Women’s Player of the Year award include Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan from the World Cup-winning USA team, as well as England’s Lucy Bronze, of Olympique Lyonnais.

Supported by ITP Live, the 11th edition of the awards are decided by some of the biggest names ever to have graced the game – including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Portugal legend Luis Figo, current Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte, former France international defender Eric Abidal and decorated former Real Madrid and England coach Fabio Capello.

It’s set to be a huge night, and we absolutely cannot wait.
