Fares Karam to play surprise gig

Lebanese superstar takes the stage at Étoiles…tonight!

Celebrated Lebanese singer, Fares Karam, has just been confirmed as a surprise performer at Étoiles, the ultra bling nightspot at Emirates Palace. But, if you’re hoping to get a chance to see the superstar up close and personal, you’d better get your skates on – the song and dance man has announced he’ll be appearing tonight!

Karam comes from Southern Lebanon, where he became steeped in the dabke style (a dance that involves lots of foot stomping, popular in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, often referred to as Arabian line dancing) from an early age. His career took in the mid-1990s following an appearance on the popular talent show, Studio El Fan. He has since recorded seven albums and picked up a total of eight international music awards.

Étoiles is known for pulling in the celebs, and it’s cosy but exclusive interior make it ideal for fans wanting to party on the same dance floor as the stars themselves. Remarkably, tonight’s gig is being held free of charge, so customers will be admitted on a first come first serve basis. Fares Karam will take the stage at approximately 11pm. Our advice: turn off your computer, pull on your bling-night best and get down to the red carpet pronto.
