Giant Abu Dhabi shirt unveiled in Manchester

The giant Manchester City FC shirt that toured Abu Dhabi throughout the summer has made its way to England and been unveiled at the City of Manchester stadium.

The powder-blue football jersey, which is a whopping 21 metres long and 15 metres wide, gained more than three thousand signatures and messages of support from fans in the UAE’s capital city. It was displayed before the Premier League match between Manchester City FC and Liverpool last night and obviously brought good luck to the team, who delivered a resounding 3-0 thrashing to Liverpool in the first home game of the season. HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan attended the match.

Club sponsor Etihad Airways hosted the shirt’s tour across Abu Dhabi this August, hitting up hotspots such as Khalidiya Mall, Al Ain’s Al Jimi Mall, and the Emirates National School to allow as many football fans as possible to add their names to the shirt.
