We’re all screaming for ice cream this week since we heard that Desert Chill, an ice cream van company based in Dubai are bringing their frozen treats to the capital.
Keep an eye out for the bright pink and blue van in the Corniche area after sunset from this week onwards, where Van Man Dan and his brother will be selling Fab lollies, Crunchie Blasts and lots of other deliciously frosty foodstuffs. We’re sure Cold Stone Creamery will be shivering in their boots at the new competition…
After Ramadan, you can expect to see the Desert Chill van in the city’s residential areas during the day, including Khalifa City and Al Shahama. Check out their website (details below) if you’re interested in hiring the van for parties or events, or you fancy trying out one of their ice cream cakes.
In true nostalgic summer style, they’ll even be playing those sinister children’s songs that no ice cream van would be complete without. ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’, anyone? Sends (desert) chills down our spines.
