Sir Bani Yas Kite Fest is returning to Abu Dhabi in March

The beach fest is back

Sir Bani Yas Kite Fest is a weekend that families in Abu Dhabi look forward to.

People can build and fly kites to add some colour to the skies above Sir Bani Yas Island.

The popular event will return for the fifth edition to the UAE capital on March 7.

Competitions include the most creative, the largest kite and the best animal shaped kite.

Judges will assess all the kites flying before announcing the winners, who will also bag prizes including staycations, dining experiences and vouchers for Anantara properties in Abu Dhabi.

Day visits and overnight camping stays are on offer.

Entry to Sir Bani Yas Kite Fest costs Dhs300 per person and includes a kite kit, access to a barbecue lunch on the beach., free beach activities including kayaking, biking and archery, as well as a nature and wildlife drive.

If you want to enjoy camping on the weekend prices start from Dhs650 per adult and Dhs325 for children.

The camping packages also include access to breakfast in The Palm restaurant the following morning.
