Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers launches menu for UAE’s Golden Jubilee

Hilton has a menu featuring Emirati-inspired dishes for the 50th anniversary

The UAE is celebrating its milestone 50th anniversary this year, and we couldn’t be more excited for the Golden Jubilee. There are numerous celebrations in Abu Dhabi and beyond – along with a four-day weekend.

One of our favourite ways to celebrate is with food, and the Hilton has our stomachs grumbling with its Growth of the UAE menu that marks the UAE’s 50th anniversary. The Emirati-inspired dishes have been curated by Hilton’s chefs and focus on exclusive farm-to-table menus. The local ethos extends right down to the delicious dishes being served on locally produced tableware.

Growth of the UAE is all about using only the freshest home-grown ingredients from the hundreds of farms across the United Arab Emirates producing delicious and local favourites, from fruit and veg to meat. The farm-to-table experience has a lower carbon footprint, supports local farmers and they believe that food from our backyard just tastes better.

Nahaam at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers is one of the restaurants participating in the Golden Jubilee Growth of the UAE menu. The contemporary spot’s curated Emirati-inspired menu will be available until December 5.

The special jubilee menu has starters, including locally made burrata, falafel and oysters from Dibba Bay, as well as comforting mains, like majbous-spiced dajaj (chicken thighs marinated in yoghurt) and seared seabass fillets.

Vegans and vegetarians can try the roasted cauliflower “steak” accompanied by charred baby leeks and finished with tahini sauce.

Can’t decide? Us, too. In that case, try the discovery set menu for Dhs220 per person, which allows dinners to sample everything, including four starters, one main per person and a dessert to share, plus, freshly brewed coffee or a selection of tea.

The final course is a celebratory dish, the Golden Jubilee Churros, which are accompanied by Sidr honey, date ice cream and 24-carat gold, naturally. This is the Golden Jubilee we’re marking.

Until Dec 5, 2021 (Growth of the UAE menu). Open Sun, Sat-Thu noon-11pm; Fri 12.30pm-4pm, 8pm–11pm. Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, Al Bateen, hilton.com/en/hotels/auhetci-conrad-abu-dhabi-etihad-towers/dining (02 811 5666).
