With more than 200 20-year-old trees, a botanical garden and now the prestigious Green Flag Award, Umm Al Emarat Park, formally known as Mushrif Central Park, keeps on growing thanks to its 2015 renovation. Let’s take a look at what’s on offer…
Children’s Garden
Every weekend between 6.30pm-8.30pm, visitors can enjoy an al fresco cinema experience with popular animated and children’s films. The screenings will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the summer and are free to all.
Animal Barn
It’s the perfect place to interact with your favourite fauna including rabbits, tortoises, llamas, sheep, a camel and the park’s resident pony, Bentley. For Dhs10, visitors can feed the animals their meals and ride Bentley on a dedicated track. 
Green Flag
Umm Al Emarat Park has been awarded this international benchmark for parks and green spaces. This was presented for its excellence in services, facilities, community involvement, conservation and heritage, as well as its sustainability practices.
Shade House
The park’s most unique structure offers views overlooking the park and surrounding areas from its two upper-level decks. Home to exotic plants, its design and the misting system allow for tropical species to grow in a cooler, humid environment.
My Little Farm
The park’s latest project is My Little Farm, which, in a nutshell, is a vegetable garden. Children can view herbs and vegetables, which are cultivated for educational purposes, and learn how the foods that end up on their table grow.
