Do you ever find yourself deep in a daydream… about food? Us too. Pretty much all the time.
That’s why the Daydream Brunch is such a perfect name for the foodie event at Crowne Plaza Yas Island. Mountains of wholesome food, fresh bread and pastries, succulent meats, and pizza we’d like to go live inside (now there’s a daydream).
The Daydream Brunch is returning to the city on Friday October 15 at Stills. There will be the usual dose of fun, games, live music, and barbeque cooking stations, plus a whole lot of goodness with a farmhouse-themed twist.
The Daydream brunch features high-quality food in a relaxed setting. It uses a farm-to-plate concept that ensures there’s something to suit everyone’s taste and dietary requirements. There are interactive menus available throughout the brunch to help you make the most of the loads of choices.
Start with fresh salads, with greens locally sourced or handpicked from Stills’ own garden. The bread and pastries are made from scratch at the on-site bakery, and the hot and cold feast is served for you by chefs behind the counter. There are tonnes of live cooking stations with all kinds of options from risotto and pasta to the Tunisian brik and Hungarian fried pizza. Sushi and oyster bars abound as well.
Looking for some meaty options? Head to the barbecue cooking station where there are a variety of succulent meats grilled live with roast alongside. The kiddos are more than welcome here too with a dedicated kids’ buffet to ensure they get a hearty meal.
That’s the food sorted, but the fun is just getting started. Kids’ activities will keep them busy and ignite their creativity. There will be live entertainment from Nicola Warwick, the lead singer of the multi-award-winning band, The International Playboys, and evening beats will be delivered by DJ James Murray.
If you haven’t seen Stills’ 26-metre signature bar counter, its definitely a sight to behold (and we hear it’s the longest bar in Abu Dhabi). Drinks will be free flowing from the bar in the terrace. Dine inside the upscale restaurant or alfresco with a view of the golf course and Arabian gulf.
The brunch is Dhs169 per person for soft drinks, Dhs269 with house drinks, and Dhs69 for kids above six. Kids younger than six eat for free. After brunch the party continues for Dhs149. The brunch goes from 12.30pm to 4pm and is followed by the after-brunch party from 4pm to midnight. A maximum of ten guests will be accommodated.
