Dubai’s Anar is hosting a pop-up in Abu Dhabi

The famed Persian restaurant is coming to the Shangri-La Hotel

Do you love Persian food? Do you want to try a Dubai favourite without ever leaving Abu Dhabi? Then mark your calendars because Anar is hosting a pop-up at Shangri-La Hotel Qaryat Al Beri Abu Dhabi this month.

From Sunday November 14 to Saturday November 20, diners will be able to tuck into the award-winning restaurant’s signature Persian dishes, featuring ace ingredients sourced from the Persian region and tried-and-tested recipes from Chef Vali Forghani.

“Anar” means pomegranate in the Persian language, and highlights the bold flavours and history of Persian cooking the restaurant has brought to Dubai for 16 years at the Souk Madinat Jumeirah.

At the Abu Dhabi pop-up, foodies will get to enjoy a specially curated à la carte menu featuring the restaurant’s favourites, including a variety of their signature lamb-based dishes, kebabs and zereshk polow (slow-cooked chicken served with saffron-infused rice and wild berries). Who’s hungry?

A sharing degustation menu will be available for Dhs498 for two people, featuring a selection of starters, kebabs, stews and desserts, alongside a grape pairing.

After a special foodie experience? On Thursday November 18, there’s an exclusive Anar grape dinner where diners can sample Anar’s signature plates paired with grapes for Dhs400 per person.
