The world’s first Warner Bros. hotel opens in Abu Dhabi

It is located literally steps from the theme park

Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are ready to serve you thanks to the opening of the Warner Bros. hotel. The world’s first WB Hotel opened in Abu Dhabi on November 11 to officially welcome guests – and of course the opening ceremony celebrations featured some of our favourite Warner Bros. characters.

The WB Abu Dhabi hotel is located on happening Yas Island in the capital, literally steps from the award-winning Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi Theme Park so families can enjoy all the fun.

And there is entertainment everywhere you look in the hotel, outside and in. From the moment guests arrive, they will feel like they stepped into a living Warner Bros. world thanks to the iconic Friends fountain and sofa having pride of place outside the hotel to welcome guests – and take the obligatory photo…or ten.

Continue on, and you’ll see Batman’s Batmobile parked outside, along with a luggage trolley carrying suitcases from other cherished characters, from Wonder Woman to Dorothy and Toto. (The latter two are light packers.)

The Warner Bros. wonder continues inside the WB Abu Dhabi hotel thanks to over 400 collectibles on display and screens playing original content created especially for the hotel. We had a chance to see inside, and the spiral staircase will no doubt be another popular photo spot thanks to all of the props, masks, scripts and much more that highlight the rich history and various projects of Warner Bros.

Looking for a family-friendly staycation in the UAE? The WB Abu Dhabi hotel is operated by Hilton under the Curio Collection brand, and has 257 distinct rooms, with each floor and space having a unique theme. Guestroom artwork has three fun themes that will delight small and big kids, including “From Script to Screen,” which showcases memorable moments from Warner Bros. TV and film, and “Artist Confidential”, which highlights the work behind the camera. Finally, “The Vault” features rare images from the Warner Bros. archive.

It’s tempting for guests to never want to leave their themed rooms – especially when Bugs Bunny is providing room service – but there is so much to explore from five restaurants (from casual poolside dining at The Matinee to elegant dining at The Director’s Club), a kids’ club where little ones can enjoy activities with their favourite Looney Tunes characters, spa, adult areas, pools – and don’t forget about the 360-degree sea and city views. We feel a staycation coming on.

And if you do feel like trekking a bit further out, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi Theme Park is just a skip away. It is the world’s largest indoor theme park, featuring six immersive lands, like Gotham City and DC’s Metropolis. Additionally, the WB Abu Dhabi hotel is within walking distance to Yas Waterworld and just a short drive to all other Yas Island attractions.
