Year of the 50th National Day celebrations are bringing festivals, fireworks and fun to Abu Dhabi

There are so many incredible ways to mark the UAE’s Golden Jubilee this December 2021. The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has unveiled a spectacular line-up of National Day events that will delight residents and visitors across the emirates.

Everyone in the capital can come together from Wednesday December 1 to Friday December 3 to enjoy heritage-rich events, spectacular music and dance performances, and thrilling sports activities. There are more than 20 immersive National Day events and activities, and you’re not going to want to miss any of them. We cannot wait.

The fantastic programme enables the community to come together to share in the success of the nation over the last 50 years, and look forward to the next five decades in the UAE. From music and dance performances to sports, there is something for everyone to enjoy with the Golden Jubilee celebrations.

And it wouldn’t be a proper celebration without fireworks. The National Day celebrations will be capped off with beautiful fireworks displays on December 2 across the UAE. The skies will be lit up with dazzling colours in Al Ain, Al Dhafra and on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche. There will be a National Day Fireworks Show at Bawabat Al Sharq Mall on December 2 at 8pm, too. Additionally, the capital will get firework shows on Al Maryah Island on December 2 and 3 from 9pm.

Wondering how to start celebrating National Day 2021 early? Emirati singer Eidha Al Menhali is performing at Qasr Al Hosn on November 26. The music and entertainment will continue on National Day weekend, led by Iraqi artist Majed Al Mohandis and Iraqi singer-songwriter Aseel Hameem at Emirates Palace on Wednesday December 1. Hamad Al Ameri will perform at Qasr Al Hosn on Thursday December 2. Finally, Emirati singer Ahlam will close the weekend at Louvre Abu Dhabi on Friday December 3.
