Popular Dubai restaurant Sticky Rice is opening in Abu Dhabi

Sticky Rice, an ever-popular Thai restaurant in Dubai, is opening a new branch at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.

Are you ready for some seriously good mango sticky rice, among other stellar dishes? Us, too. If the new branch is anything like the Dubai one, we’re in for a treat.

We don’t have an exact opening date yet, but we hear doors will be open in early 2022. Watch this space for more updates.

In its Instagram announcement, the restaurant said: “This is a love letter to all the beautiful people of Abu Dhabi who have been driving all the way down for years, and still manage to queue for an hour to sit and eat Mama’s food with us.”

Warm, cozy and family-run, Sticky Rice is one of Dubai’s most beloved Thai restaurants thanks to its charming personality and the feeling that you’re in a home away from home. The food is cooked with love and packed full of flavour. The sticky chicken wings, classic tom yum soup, and of course, Mama’s famous mango sticky rice, are popular picks.

Sticky rice is not the only popular Dubai restaurant making an appearance in Abu Dhabi.

Dubai Design District’s favourite Tokyopolitan pizzeria, Akiba Dori, is coming to Yas Bay Waterfront. Din Tai Fung is coming to The Galleria Al Maryah Island in early 2022. Already a favourite at Vida Emirates Hills in Dubai, Hunter & Barrel, a cool carnivore destination, is coming to Yas Bay.
