Marsa Mina waterfront destination is now open in Abu Dhabi

There are food trucks, live performances, shopping and more at the new area

A brand new attraction has opened in Abu Dhabi offering another place to relax and enjoy a bite to eat.

Marsa Mina, located at Mina Zayed, has now opened to the public.

The entertainment destination has been launched to entertain international travellers coming to the city on cruise ships and residents looking for a new space to explore.

At the location you can see a range of pop-up retail stores, dining options and live entertainment.

Shops, food outlets and more have all been constructed out of shipping containers to keep with the maritime theme and coincide with the new destinations sustainable theme.

An art mural, created by local and international artists is also on display as well as a children’s playpark.

The new landmark will be the first location many tourists will see when visiting the city.

“Marsa Mina is an exciting addition to the Abu Dhabi cruise experience and signifies our commitment towards developing Zayed Port as a unique leisure destination for the UAE community and for tourists arriving to the emirate via cruise ships,” said Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Abu Dhabi Ports Group CEO.

“In addition to further promoting Abu Dhabi as a unique destination for leisure and business, the new waterfront is also envisioned to serve as a platform for entrepreneurial initiatives by providing small and medium-sized home-grown projects the opportunity to develop and promote their businesses.

“This project reflects our commitment to supporting the economy diversification in line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.”
