Martin Garrix and DJ Snake to perform at Sunday F1 Yasalam after-race concert

The Foo Fighters cancelled their F1 post-race concert

The show must go on. Martin Garrix and DJ Snake are performing at the final F1 Yasalam after-race concert on Sunday December 12. The announcement was made on Sunday, and it revealed that F1 fans would get two final headliners.

The Yasalam announcement read: “We promised a Grande #F1Finale with #NewMoves. And we’re keeping our word.”

“We’re bringing you not one, but 2 headline artists for the Sunday #Yasalam After Race Concert!”

“Get ready to witness the ultimate #AbuDhabiGP Race Day party with @martingarrix, and @djsnake. It’s time.”

It was announced later in the day that DJ maDJam would open the final 2021 post-race concert.

Yasalam revealed: “Andddd, for the grand finale #Yasalam2021 presents one of the most influential DJs in the Middle East, @djmadjam opening for @martingarrix & @djsnake tonight at #EtihadPark!”

The change comes after the original fourth headliners, The Foo Fighters, cancelled their performance due to “medical circumstances“. The iconic American rockers were supposed to be the grand finale performance of F1 weekend and the 2021 Yasalam post-race concerts.

An announcement was shared on Saturday December 11 revealing the Foo Fighters’ cancellation: “Due to unforeseen medical circumstances, The Foo Fighters will not be performing at the Abu Dhabi GP Yasalam After-Race Concert on Sunday 12 December.”

The Foo Fighters also released a statement: “The band apologises for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by this unexpected turn of events.”

The announcement told fans to “stay tuned for further updates” and promised that the F1 finale would go on. And now the show definitely is.
