A stunning new beach lounge has opened on Saadiyat Island.
Shala Beach Lounge, at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas, enjoys panoramic views over the Arabian Gulf and Saadiyat Beach.
The brand-new venue is already one of the best places to go to enjoy incredible views and a chilled, islandic vibe, in the capital.
Named after the Sanskrit word for ‘home’, the venue aims to provide a welcoming, luxury space that serves as an escape to guests from all walks of life, especially creatives.
You will be able to play beneath the blazing sun, dance by the sea or watch the stars come out from the deck, as the venue transforms after sunset.
Plus with its long bar, cosy furniture and fire pit it’s a great spot for both sundowners and a nightcap.
The laidback venue, which is decked out with feathers and elements of nature, will also host music from DJ Balearic as well as live percussionists.
When you visit you can also enjoy a range of soulful beverages and a flavourful cuisine, influenced by the farm-to-table approach with locally-sourced produce.
The culinary experts at Shala have incorporated ingredients from the Middle Eastern culture, fused to create a dining atmosphere that encourages minimal use of cutlery. Ecological ethics are also at the centre of their work as they honour the taste of the food by minimising food processing.
