Japanese restaurant Tanuki to open in Sharjah later this month

We’re promised the blending of modern perspectives with traditional cuisine

Brand-new Japanese restaurant Tanuki will open its doors in Sharjah in late December.

The chain has more than 70 locations in most parts of Russia, Ukraine and the USA, and is touching down in the UAE for the first time.

The culinary concept is inspired by the Japanese izakayas with a trendy and comfortable setting.

Love Japanese food? You’ll find the tasty new arrival at the recently opened City Center Al Zahia mall.

Tanuki will offer a fresh new taste in Japanese cuisine with a menu that includes cold and hot bites, tempura selections, rice and noodles, yakitori collection, robata grill, hand rolls and specialty maki, blending modern perspective with traditional Japanese cuisine.

Tanuki isn’t the only newcomer from hospitality firm Bulldozer Group.

The group also recently announced the pending opening of Sand, also at City Center Al Zahia, which will specialise in eclectic Emirati, Arabian, Uzbek, Moroccan and Georgian culinary delights and dishes in a chic and modern setting.

Guests can tuck into dishes from the pastry section, such as traditional khachapuri adzharian, samosa with mutton or beef, or opt for dishes from barbeque selection with the choices such as veal tenderloin kebab, chicken kebab with melted cheese, sea bass, hamour and more.

Both destinations will offer a faux mixed drinks menu to wash down the plates.

Keep your eyes peeled for the fresh arrivals, landing soon.
