3 things to do today in Abu Dhabi

Enjoy family fun at the zoo or visit the Galleria

Wednesday, August 28

Stuff yourself silly with dumplings: Especially dim sum, and even more so when they’re from the kitchen of Li Jiang, the Asian restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi. Between 10pm and midnight every Wednesday, you can get a selection of dim sum accompanied by a signature beverage while listening to downtempo house and lounge music courtesy of DJ Beta, all for a measly Dhs50.
Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal, Khor Al Maqta’a (02 818 8282).

Enjoy family fun at the zoo: Al Ain Zoo is open late every Wednesday for family night. From 6pm, you can see animals in the cooler, more active hours and there are cartoons, games, face painting and a bouncy castle to make it fun for the whole family.
Al Ain Zoo, Al Ain (03 781 1451).

Visit the Galleria: Granted, the launch is three weeks later than expected, but this new shopping centre on Al Maryah Island was meant to open yesterday. If it did, you’ll find some of the 145 shops and restaurants in there also open, including brands such as Diesel and Fred Perry.
