Step-by-step
If you are in need of some serious pampering then we can almost guarantee that you will love some time at Iridium Spa. As soon as you step into the venue you will feel tranquil and relaxed. We are ushered to the changing rooms and would be happy to even just spend the afternoon here with a sauna, steam room and whirlpool.
Our therapist, Andrea, greets us and shows us to the treatment room. We start with a foot ritual and we talk to Andrea about areas of concern for our massage.
We lie down on the treatment table and the massage starts with our legs, first with Andrea’s hands and then with the stones. The stones are hot but not so much so that they are burning and the feeling is utter bliss. She then works on our back and arms before turning us over to do the front of our body.
Once she has used the hot stones for massaging, they are left on our body in different spots so they can help us further unwind.
It’s then time for our facial with products from Babor and Andrea assures us that we will love this treatment. She triple cleanses our skin and then applies an exfoliator to work on our dead cells. This is then removed with a hot towel and a moisturising mask is applied. A second mask is then applied with a cloth and then the products are painted on over the cloth which hardens.
While the mask is left on for 20 minutes, Andrea gives us an intense foot massage.
The results
We leave feeling like an entirely new person. Our body is relaxed and we feel completely de-stressed. Our skin is lifted and our complexion is glowing.
Pros
The spa is gorgeous with excellent facilities and the staff are fantastic. The products that are used really work and you will see results.
Cons
You will pay quite a bit for the treatments but we really feel they are worth it.
