The weekend is nearly here and you know what that means. It’s the first Saturday-Sunday weekend in the UAE and that’s not the only thing that’s new. There are loads of new movies to see too. What better way to start the new weekend off than with a double… triple… or quadruple feature at the cinema?

The King’s Man

We’ve been waiting for this film forever and this weekend we’re going to see it. The King’s Man has finally hit UAE cinemas and we’re stocking up on snacks to munch on while we watch. The film serves as a prequel to the previous two Kingsman films and follows the birth of the Kingsman organisation. It’s based on the comic book, The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Matthew Goode and Tom Hollander and takes place around WWI.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Another Marvel film? Yes please. This one is about your friendly neighbourhood hero. Spider-Man’s identity has been revealed for the first time in cinematic history, putting everyone he loves at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, they tear a hole in the world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Our spidey senses are tingling.

The Colony

Looking for a dystopia? Releasing this weekend, The Colony is set in the distant future, where an astronaut has been shipwrecked on the long-decimated Earth. Fighting for humanity to survive, she must decide the fate of the wasteland’s remaining populace. We’re on the edge of our seats.

MY SON

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. After years of putting his career above his family, Julien’s marriage has failed and he’s estranged from his son. While traveling he receives a call that the seven-year-old boy has disappeared while at camp. When the authorities provide little help, Julien is forced to take matters into his own hands. Julien will do whatever it takes to find his son in this mystery thriller.
