Food lovers, sink your teeth into this series of events in Abu Dhabi

Partner content: The Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants is arriving in the capital

Looking for something delicious to do in the capital? From Friday February 4 to Tuesday February 8, the first edition of Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants is landing in Abu Dhabi – and it’s bringing some of the world’s best chefs for a series of gastronomic events.

Food lovers from across MENA will get the opportunity to hear, learn and taste food from global superstar chefs. Take three masterclasses, listen to an interactive on-stage forum #50BestTalks, or attend a series of exclusive dining events.

50 Best’s experiential dining series will feature Pía León, The World’s Best Female Chef 2021, and Dave Pynt, the chef-owner of Burnt Ends restaurant in Singapore. Chef León will explore the culinary ecosystems of her native Peru, while world-acclaimed grill-master Pynt will use the world’s finest ingredients to dish out a barbecue cuisine that is truly flaming.

León’s dining experience will take place on Zaya Nurai Island, while Pynt will bring his barbeque extravaganza to BBQ Al Qasr at Emirates Palace hotel.

The line-up of events at 50 Best will also feature masterclasses for those who want to taste the best-in-class cuisine and learn to make it, too.

Tim Raue from Restaurant Tim Raue in Berlin will deliver the opening act of the star-studded masterclass performance. He will demonstrate his signature cooking style, which has been influenced by his travels across Asia and healthy cuisines.

Next up, Pía León will be sharing her passion for indigenous ingredients inspired by Peru’s biodiversity.

Concluding the all-star masterclass line-up will be The World’s Best Pastry Chef 2021, Will Goldfarb. The audience can indulge in a dessert tutorial centred around his innovative approach to sweet cookery, with each dish representing a milestone from Goldfarb’s seminal Bali restaurant, Room 4 Dessert.

Attendees can also listen into or join the conversation at #50BestTalks. The interactive event will explore the culinary and cultural connections across the region through interviews and discussions with gastronomic stars from MENA and beyond.

Chefs Tim Raue, Julien Royer and Natsuko Shoji will also be part of the wider event programme through a Collaboration Dining Series involving local restaurants Dai Pai Dong, LPM and Tori No Su.

Let the countdown begin. Make sure you don’t miss this gastronomic spectacle and secure your tickets.
