The region’s first fully digital Store of the Future launches at Mall of the Emirates

The future is here. The first fully functioning digital concept store has arrived in the region.

Located in Mall of the Emirates, the Store of the Future is a collaboration between Majid Al Futtaim and tech company, Cisco.

THAT Concept Store is the first retailer to take over the Store of the Future, bringing an assortment of fashion, beauty and lifestyle products to the innovative shopping space, both physically and digitally.

Wondering how the Store of the Future is different? It uses the latest technology to provide shoppers with a fully immersive, personalised and digitalised experience.

Expect virtual mirrors, augmented reality, wireless infrastructure and intelligent cameras that analyse shopper’s behaviour. It’s all pretty nifty.

There are still actual products available that can be physically touched and tried on, with the technology enhancing the overall experience and making it more interactive.

For example, the store’s “Lifft and Learn” feature detects when an item has been lifted off the shelf, and instantly loading more information about it on the screen.

Can’t stop buying beauty products and makeup? The beauty mirrors allow you to see what suits you using augmented reality. No mess required.

The Store of the Future seeks to provide safe shopping in a post-pandemic world with contactless payments that can be made through the Mall of the Emirates app or via card. Then your purchases can be delivered straight to your door.
