Students across the UAE will get free internet to help them access distance learning

Etisalat and Du will provide mobile data packages for families without internet at home

Students across the UAE are being offered free internet packages.

Families across the UAE are to be given free internet access to enable students to access distance learning.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is coordinating with the UAE’s two national providers to provide a data package to households that don’t have home internet services so that pupils can access home learning programmes free of charge.

According to national news agency WAM, a package is going to be rolled out soon by both Etisilat and Du.

This news comes as children across the UAE get ready to start e-learning, which kicks of on Sunday March 22.
