Brunch review: Nahaam

A Saturday brunch on the Corniche where everything flows

Different day, same buzzy brunch. It doesn’t matter what the weekend is, Nahaam’s brunch is rarely anything less than a real Abu Dhabi vibe.

Brunch at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers’ poolside restaurant starts with a welcome drink in the lounge. Or, grab a glass from the welcome drink wall and carry on.

Nahaam staff are on it. It’s clear this is not their first time around a risotto cart. Everyone knows exactly what package you’re on without the need for bracelets and they explain the lay of the land so you don’t miss out on the traditional roasts, grills, curries and noodles – because you shouldn’t.

In addition to plenty of live stations, there are tableside trolleys that come throughout the brunch and flowing drinks. Other top stations include sushi, a small-but-great cheese table and an ace seafood area where things are easily prepared so you don’t have to wrestle with lobster shells and claws. (Phew.)

Need a breather before diving back in? Take a walk to snap the ice sculptures and chocolate work, or head back to the flower wall. Alternatively, sit back and enjoy the live music.

Have a sweet tooth? This is a brunch where you definitely want to save room for dessert, or better yet, start with it. There are shelves and shelves of colourful sweets that actually taste as good as they look. (We’re pressed to choose just one fave.)

The dress code at Nahaam is casual, but people aren’t in beachwear. Put on something ironed and save your fanciest clubwear for your next big night out.

An Abu Dhabi favourite well worth finding room in the diary for.
