Get checked quickly and safely in minutes

The UAE has introduced a number of measure to tackle the spread of coronavirus including encouraging self-isolation and a national disinfection programme.

Helping to improve public safety and diagnose members of the public who are having coronavirus symptoms, a new testing facility has opened in Abu Dhabi from Abu Dhabi Health Services Co (SEHA).

Located a Zayed Sports City, the drive-through testing facility allows drivers and passengers to remain in their vehicle and be quickly tested by qualified medical staff.

A pre-test must be carried out before visiting the testing centre by contacting Estijaba on 800 1717. That will determine whether you should visit the testing centre or not.

Priority groups for testing include those displaying symptoms, the elderly, pregnant women and those suffering from chronic disease.

With four lanes and capacity to carry out 600 tests each day, you will have to register using your Emirates ID before undertaking the five-minute test that includes a nose swab.

Participants are then expected to go home where results will be shared via text message or via the SEHA smartphone app.
The centre is open daily from 8am to 8pm. For more information, visit www.seha.ae.
