Dubai’s Museum of the Future: how to visit and get tickets

Here is everything you need to know about visiting the most anticipated cultural opening of 2022

So you’ve seen all the Museum of the Future photos and videos – including of the “secret” garden. If you’re anything like us, you’ve been patiently (or not-so-patiently) waiting for all the details about how to visit Dubai’s Museum of the Future – and we’ve got all the info you need.

When does The Museum of the Future open? And when can I visit?

Everyone wants to be the first to see Dubai’s newest museum. The official opening of the gardens will be held on Tuesday February 22, but alas this is for media and special invitees only. The Dubai Museum of the Future will open to the general public from Saturday February 26 from 10am.

Great! So, can I just walk in and have a look around?

Similar to other cultural venues, you must book a time slot and purchase tickets ahead of your visit to the Museum of the Future. You can plan your visit by booking your ticket online. You can select the number of people in your party and choose a time slot that suits you. Time slots are available every half hour from 10am through to 5pm.

How much are the tickets?

Tickets cost Dhs145 for any visitor aged three and above. Children under the age of three, people of determination and senior Emirati citizens will be able to visit the museum free of charge.

Do I need to book tickets for my children if their entry will be free?

Yes, even though tickets are free of charge for children under the age of three, people of determination and senior Emirati citizens – places must be booked via the booking portal to ensure entry.

How far in advance should I book my visit?

As the Museum of the Future is one of the most anticipated cultural openings of 2022, we suggest booking as far in advance as possible. This is going to be a popular attraction in Dubai for many months to come and we can only imagine that time slots, particularly on the weekends will be booked out very quickly.

What are the opening hours of The Museum of the Future?

The museum will be open daily, Monday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

Dhs145. Opening Tue Feb 22. Open daily 10am-6pm. motf.ae.
