More drive-through coronavirus test centres are coming to the UAE

All emirates to open centres in the next ten days

The UAE’s first drive-through test centre to test residents for coronavirus has opened in Abu Dhabi.

Following the opening of the first facility of its kind in the country, several more centres are set to be opened across the UAE in the coming weeks.

HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has instructed the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to set up more facilities across the UAE.

Over the next ten days test centres will open in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Sharjah, which will also serve Ajman and Umm Al Quwain.

More test centres will also be opened in Abu Dhabi including in Al Ain and Al Dhafra.

The contactless test centres allow residents to stay in their cars and be tested by medical professionals in minutes.

Details are set to be announced in the coming days as the facilities open across the UAE.
