Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health has announced the launch of a new remote healthcare app, providing users with access to preliminary medical services at home.
The savvy app has been launched in collaboration with Injazat Data Systems and has been designed to help residents get safe and easy remote access to medical services during the current lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Abu Dhabi’s media office shared details of the app via Twitter on Monday night (April 13), explaining that users can obtain medical support and advice while at home, as well as getting access to diagnostic services for non-emergency situations through healthcare facilities in the capital that are regularly being updated.

“The app also provides medical support to people with chronic diseases, the elderly, those in need of medical prescriptions [and] those who are isolating at home,” the tweet stated. “The app features an AI-driven tool for examining symptoms and diagnosing non-emergency cases.”
As well as this, anyone who uses the healthcare app can also book remote consultations with doctors via voice or video call as well as texts. You’ll also have access to prescription and logistics services.
The app, named ‘Remote Healthcare’ is available on Android and iOS devices, in both Arabic and English.
