Careem expands shop and drop courier service to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

Need to send some small items?

Just because many of us are self-isolating, that doesn’t mean that the world has stopped turning.

While frontline workers are busy keeping our cities going and many of us are working from home, connecting to the world outside is sometimes still essential.

Helping you to send and receive items, courier service Careem Box has now launched in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

The new service allows you to rent a bike with a four square inch box to send goods and items to a destination of your choice.

So if you need to send something to a friend, get paperwork over to your boss or even return something you borrowed, the riders are on hand to help.

You can even request that your Careem rider shop for some essential items on your behalf up to the price of Dhs350 that they will collect and drop to your address.

Plus you can track the rider as they make their way to your destination on the app so you can stay in the loop, too.

All you need to do is download the Careem app, select the Careem Box option and select your destination.

Then the courier will arrive to collect your items and take them where they need to go.

The service is available from Dhs14 and is available from 6am to midnight in Abu Dhabi and from 6am to 7pm in Sharjah.

“We are excited to be extending our delivery offering, Careem Box, to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, especially during times like these,” said Gheed ElMakkaoui, general manager at Careem UAE.

“We’ve seen this product simplify our customers’ day-to-day lives in Dubai and hope to do the same across the rest of the UAE.”
