Abu Dhabi residents are united to stay home as the UAE bids to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Doing their part, in communities across the emirate each night residents take time to applaud in support for all essential frontline workers helping to keep the UAE going during unprecedented times.
A number of Abu Dhabi landmarks have lit up blue in recognition of the efforts of essential workers.
The #LightItBlue initiative has seen landmark around the world light up blue to show support for essential workers including Niagara Falls, The Empire State Building and more.
In Abu Dhabi, buildings taking part include ADNOC HQ, Khalifa University, Sheikh Zayed Bridge and Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.
Recently Yas Island’s theme parks also light up to show vital support.
