Etihad Airways unveil Year of Zayed plane

The airline has customised an A380 in honour of the late Sheikh Zayed

Etihad Airways have unveiled a brand new plane in honour of the Year of Zayed – and it looks awesome.

The airline giants are paying tribute to the late founder of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as 2018 marks 100 years since his birth.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, has inspected customised A380 aircraft.

He was given a tour of Etihad Airways Engineering’s facilities in Abu Dhabi, where the new gold-coloured plane was unveiled.

Lucky passengers will enjoy a host of cool things inspired by the late Sheikh Zayed, including themed entertainment, kids’ packs and a photo gallery of his life.
