The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) have reiterated regulations on mall visitation.
In a joint statement the authorities stated that persons over the age of 60 and children younger than 12 are prohibited from entering shopping malls, retail stores, cooperative societies and supermarkets.
The measures are to ‘ensure their health and safety’.
In Dubai, the same restrictions are in place for restaurants which have started to reopen across the UAE.
