New services have been added to the UAE’s virtual healthcare app

You can now get even more help from healthcare professionals via the online service

Back in March, the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) launched a virtual healthcare app to help diagnose people who had symptoms that could be a sign of COVID-19, allowing them to get help whilst safely social distancing.

Since then, the app has had more than 15,000 patients so the ministry has added more servies so people across the country can get further remote healthcare.

The services now include medical, nursing and pharmacy services, as well as supporting medical specialities such as nutrition and physiotherapy. The app will also provide remote consultations so people won’t need to visit hospitals.

As for the medical specialities available, you’ll find all the most vital services on the app such as cardiology, paediatrics, internal medicine, gynaecology, nutrition, physiotherapy, remote mental health services including drug rehabilitation programmes, psychosocial consultation and other psychiatric departments, as well as community psychiatry for different ages.

“The move falls in line with the government directives in terms of utilising smart solutions in the preventive and therapeutic services to fight COVID-19. At MoHAP, we always seek to develop innovative tools and smart services to suit all the circumstances to provide our patients with top-notch health and curative consultative services,” said Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Ministry’s Hospitals Sector.
