Musical and Disney fans will delight as the award-winning musical, The Lion King will be coming to the UAE for the very first time later this year.
The world-famous musical adaptation of the animated Disney classic, will be hitting the stage in Abu Dhabi later this year, for an incredible four-week run from November 18 through to December 10.
Get ready to sing along to all your favourite tunes from The Lion King, like Timon and Pumba’s brilliant Hakuna Matata, Circle of Life and I Just Can’t Wait to be King.
The critically acclaimed show will take to the stage at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island Etihad Arena.
The world-famous Broadway musical production marks it’s twenty-five year tour run with the announcement of the first performances in the UAE.
The stunning costumes, imaginative stage production and talented cast members will bring the story of The Lion King to life through puppetry, costume and song. It is truly an exciting performance that both adults and children alike will enjoy.
The long-running stage adaptation of Disney’s popular animated film illustrates, through interpretative song and dance, the coming-of-age tale of a young lion prince forced to mature quickly when his father passes away and an avaricious uncle attempts to claim the young lion’s right to the throne.
With lively stage performances, and songs we all know and love, attendees will be enthralled in the story of The Lion King and fall in love with the characters of Simba, Rafiki and Mufasa over again in the live stage show of the Disney favourite.
Continuing to garner world-wide acclaim, the live stage show has already toured around the world numerous with recent successful tours to New York, London, Australia and Tokyo.
The show’s four-week run in November, will be the first time the production has been performed in the UAE.
This week (June 24) marks the 28th anniversary of the original release of The Lion King movie by Disney. And what better way to celebrate the birth of a classic than with the announcement of the acclaimed stage performance coming to the UAE?

The Lion King musical will take on a four-week run from Friday November 18 through to Saturday December 10, 2022.
Where is the show on?
The very first UAE run of The Lion King musical will take place at the Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
When are tickets on sale?
Tickets are on pre-sale from today until June 26. The tickets will go on general sale to the public from June 27. Tickets can be purchased online via the ticketing portals on Etihad Arena or Platinum List.
How much will tickets cost?
Ticket prices vary depending on the day and level selected.
