Have you always wanted to be a singer?
Always. While growing up, I was surrounded by music and probably started singing before I could even talk. There has never been any doubt that music and singing would be my career choice.
Why opera?
I was studying to become a professional pianist, but kept singing at the same time and, naturally, my classical music education influenced my taste in music. Once I finished my piano studies, I went on to do my Masters in Opera Singing.
What’s the crowd in Abu Dhabi like compared to other cities?
People here are very respectful and certainly have an appreciation for the arts. I am very touched when people are just passing by and end up staying till the last song.
