Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
With glistening turquoise waters and pristine white sand, it’s picture perfect and with the chance to spot dolphins while lounging it could hardly get any better.

Where is it and how do I get there?
Saadiyat Beach is on Saadiyat Island – who’d have guessed? – and is a ten minute drive from downtown Abu Dhabi over the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge past Mina Zayed.
The public beach is easy to get to and with clear road signs guiding you to the correct turn off you can’t miss it.
Coming from Yas Island or Dubai? Follow signs for Saadiyat Island on the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Highway, past Jubail Island and you’ll find your way.
How much does it cost?
Access to the beach costs Dhs25 per adult and Ds15 per child between six and 12. For sun loungers you’ll have to pay an additional Dhs50 on weekdays and Dhs75 on weekends and on public holidays.
You don’t need to hire a sun lounger if you don’t want to and are happy to throw down a towel and soak up the sun.
If you want a bit more comfort and shade then loungers are there to be hired when needed.
There is also towel and locker rental service for all your valuables as well as showers and changing rooms if you’re heading out after or just need to rinse all the sand off.
What is there to do?
With amazing wildlife offshore, (dolphins, dugongs and turtles anyone?), watersport rentals are not available on-site.
There are some beach volleyball and football pitches dotted along the beach but this is more of a top-up-your-tan destination than an adrenaline fueled-one.
Other than sunbathing, dipping in the ocean and walking along the shore getting snaps there aren’t a whole lot of activities to speak of.

The public beach is flanked by four luxury hotels, each with restaurants, bars, spas and more.
