Louvre Abu Dhabi launches new 20-minute cinematic podcast

The podcast features seven international celebrities and is available in six different languages

Over the past couple of months, Louvre Abu Dhabi has launched a number of engaging initiatives to help keep UAE residents busy at home.

From weekly poetry readings on social media to virtual tours and even downloadable activities for kids, it’s never been easier to keep well-cultured from your sofa.

The latest addition to its already vast repertoire is a brand-new 20-minute cinematic podcast entitled ‘We Are Not Alone’ by Soundwalk Collective.

Narrated by Emirati pianist Hussain Al Jassmi, American actor Willem Dafoe, Chinese actress Zhou Dongyu, English-French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, Russian DJ and producer Nina Kraviz, German filmmaker Wim Wenders and French architect Jean Nouvel, the podcast reinterprets Louvre Abu Dhabi’s iconic architecture through a futuristic science-fiction story.

Composed and produced by Soundwalk Collective, an experimental sound collective founded by Stéphan Crasneanscki, We Are Not Alone, also comes accompanied by a short film that reimagines the museum as the backdrop to a poetic tale that takes place in a post-human galaxy thousands of years in the future.

The podcast is now available on Louvre Abu Dhabi’s website in six languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Mandarin and Russian. Click here for more.
