Launching today: What’s included with Emirates’ premium economy class?

All the details about travelling in Emirates’ newest cabin class

Emirates Airline is giving flyers the chance to upgrade their economy experience.

For those who like to fly in style, the new cabin class is expected to rival other airlines’ business class offerings.

Premium economy will be available on flights to London, Paris and Sydney from today, August 1.

Wondering if it is worth upgrading your economy ticket to premium? Here is what is included in the new cabin class.

Start your journey off the right way as an upgraded ticketholder as customers can look forward to a dedicated check-in area for premium economy at Dubai International airport.

Once onboard, the experience is set to be luxurious, with the cabin decorated in tasteful cream tones paired with Emirate’s classic rich gold and brown accents.

Say goodbye to plastic cups as the crew will welcome premium economy customers with a welcome drink in fine glassware.

You won’t dread buckling up into your seat either, as each chair is designed to provide optimal comfort and support with 6-way adjustable headrests.

You’ll get more for your buck, with the seats being bigger that reclining up to 8 inches, leaving you with more space to kick back and relax.

Calf rests and footrests will be available for additional comfort, in addition to easily accessible in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table — fancy.

Keeping flyers entertained, there are 13.3” screens that play the airline’s 5,000 channels of music, movies, TV, and more.

As for the food, expect meals made with seasonal ingredients and regional influences. Each meal will be plated up on chinaware and will be accompanied by stainless steel cutlery neatly wrapped in a linen napkin. And dinner will be finished with a sophisticated chocolate offering.

The drinks menu will include a selection of beverages including premium and sparkling grape.

On a four-class Emirates A380, the premium economy cabin is located at the front of the main deck with 56 seats laid out in 2-4-2 configuration.

And on the Emirates Boeing 777, up to 24 premium economy seats will be installed in a dedicated cabin section between business and economy.
