The Hero Project: Behaviour Enrichment

The organisation has provided therapy for more than 100 children

Since lockdown measures were put in place in the UAE, the team at Behaviour Enrichment, a therapy and educational centre for children with learning difficulties in Dubai, has worked tirelessly.

The centre has provided therapy services to more than 100 children of determination using online platforms, meaning none of the youngsters missed out on learning, despite the two centres being closed.

With the motto “learning never stops”, the Behaviour Enrichment team shifted their therapy services online overnight to help families continue their services. The therapists are all working from home at any time the children need. Going beyond their duty hours to make sure parents and families are supported.

For many of the children, even missing a single week could mean regression in their behaviour and learning. Most parents were extremely concerned about the centres being closed.

Behaviour Enrichment provided free trial sessions for parents to try the e-sessions, with staff making them interactive and engaging.

Since the beginning, there have been sessions for more than 100 children with autism and other learning difficulties and the staff are working as hard as ever in ensuring that quality, evidence-based services are being delivered everyday via remote services.

With the help of e-services, the therapists at Behaviour Enrichment were not only able to help children make tremendous progress, but also teach parents important skills that they can now use for a lifetime in teaching their children.
