New coronavirus-detecting smart helmet is introduced in the UAE

The headgear is able to detect those who are potentially infected with COVID-19

With things slowly going back to normal in the UAE and movement restrictions being lifted, a brand-new ‘Smart Helmet’ has been introduced in the UAE.

The helmet, which has been designed by World Security (the security solutions provider of DP World in the region) is able to detect those who are potentially infected with coronavirus – without any contact.

The most important features of the KC N901 Smart Helmet include efficient and contactless temperature recording, quick screening for both indoors and outdoors, rapid screening of vehicles and passengers, and swift face recognition and identity verification using thermal imaging.

The new Smart Helmet will also help ease the movement of traffic in areas where it operates, while ensuring the highest levels of safety and security.

“With the reopening of the economy, we have now entered a new phase where monitoring public places for potential infection has become imperative,” said Mohammed Al Muallem, CEO and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region.

The revolutionary headgear is packed with high-precision sensors, processors and transmission systems and is being positioned to be the first choice for epidemic prevention activities.
