Looking for a weekend escape in the emirate? Shangri-La Hotel Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi has launched a series of summer offers designed to coax you off your (undoubtedly very comfy) couch, from staycation deals to a brand-new brunch.
Kicking off on Friday July 10, the new brunch at Sofra promises some of the restaurant’s “all-time favourites”. Starters include Sofra’s signature seafood platter, plus seared prawn and quinoa salad, a seasonal wellness sushi platter and beet and spinach salad. Diners can choose a sharing main to enjoy between two – with four options to pick from, including a vegetarian combination of veg lasagne, grilled mushrooms, asparagus and seasonal veg, and a “from the sea” selection of grilled sea bass fillet, grilled squid, pan-fried Asian shrimp and seafood paella. Prices start from Dhs179 per person with soft drinks, up to Dhs379 with bubbly. Brunch runs every Friday from 1pm to 4pm.
The hotel’s Shang Palace restaurant is also offering a summer special dim sum lunch, featuring unlimited baskets of classics including barbecue chicken buns, prawn ha gow, siu mai and crispy shrimp wontons. Get the unlimited package for Dhs123 per person, or do the tasting menu for Dhs75 per person – both available Sunday to Friday from noon until 3pm.
If you just want to hit the beach, the hotel’s private beach access day passes start from Dhs250 for adults per day, or just Dhs750 for an entire month’s access, while kids aged between six and 12 get daily access for Dhs100, or a full month’s access for Dhs150. And the best bit? The price you pay is fully redeemable on food and drinks at the property.
If one day by the beach doesn’t cut it, the hotel is offer a summer staycation package, priced from Dhs530 per room per night, and featuring a guaranteed room upgrade, daily breakfast, 20 percent off food and drinks for the duration of your stay, early check-in from 10am and late check-out until 3pm.
